From March 2nd to 4th, 2026, Hongdee Ophthalmology proudly participated in the 24th China International Optics Fair (SIOF) held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Represented by our dedicated team—Brad, Chloe, Lark, and Alen—the company showcased its latest innovations at Booth N2, a hall specifically focused on optometry and ophthalmology equipment.

Strategic Exhibition and Client Engagement
The 24th SIOF was a massive event spanning 14 halls. Our team operated with high efficiency, greeting a total of 23 clients, including 19 agents, 1 intermediary, and 3 end-users. Notably, 14 of these were new contacts, representing a diverse global footprint from the USA, Russia, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, and Southeast Asia.
Our booth featured a significant upgrade in aesthetics, utilizing professional lighting and high-quality wood flooring that enhanced the visual appeal of our product demonstrations and promotional media. Despite a slight increase in logistics costs via SF Express, the organized setup allowed the team to be “battle-ready” within an hour of receiving the goods.
Product Highlights and Market Feedback
Our technological offerings drew significant attention, providing valuable insights into current market demands:
-
Connectivity Solutions: Clients showed high interest in integrated systems. While some preferred budget-friendly lensmeters without connectivity, the trend toward digital integration remains clear.
-
ESC-2000 Series: The compact design of the main unit was a crowd favorite for its space-saving qualities. Feedback suggested that offering manual chair options could further optimize price points for certain markets.
-
The Double-Column Table: Making its debut, this product attracted many inquiries. Future iterations will focus on aesthetic improvements, such as concealing power outlets and wiring to meet high-end design preferences.
-
HULK Refraction Unit: Feedback indicated a need for drawers to slide toward the patient side for easier lens access, and a strong market preference for manual tilting chairs.
Beyond the Booth: Cultivating Relationships
The spirit of Hongdee excellence extended to our post-exhibition client care. Following the show, we hosted a delegation from Topcon Malaysia. By arranging comfortable transport, sharing traditional Beijing delicacies like “Nai Pi Zi” yogurt and roasted duck, and even surprising them with traditional “Tanghulu” (candied haws), we transformed a business trip into a memorable cultural experience. We learned that hospitality is a bridge; by listening to client preferences and providing “unexpected delights,” we build trust that transcends technical specifications.
As we look back on SIOF 2026, Hongdee Ophthalmology returns with a clearer understanding of the competitive landscape in Hall N2 and a strengthened “Hongdee Family” spirit. We are ready to turn these 23 connections into long-term partnerships, continuing our mission to empower the world to see clearly.
